HOW DO I RESERVE MY PUPPY?
CONTACTING ME: Emails are great! I actually prefer emails because it is a good way for me to stay in touch with you and be able to track our conversations. Of course, you are welcome to call me to talk. I accept phone calls Monday through Saturday until 8:00 p.m (912-425-9332). If I cannot answer at the moment, please leave me a message, and I will return your call as soon as possible. NO TEXTS PLEASE. It is hard to get track of everyone through texts. I would like to know a little about you to assure that our babies go to good homes only. I will be more than happy to send more photos and answer any questions you may have. All of my puppies are sold on a pet basis only and with no breeding rights.
WAITING LISTS: I do have waiting lists for most of my puppies, so you will need send me your name and cell phone number by email in order to be added. I will start contacting people after the puppies are about 2-3 weeks old (sometimes a little later) and then will start putting them on temporary hold for people. I just want to make sure all is well with all of the puppies before I start contacting people. Health is important, so that is my first priority to both you and your puppy! I try to go by the order of the list, but if I can't get ahold of someone, I will need to go ahead and go to the next person. I contact people through email only, so you will need to check your email often. If you decide to wait on another litter, that is perfectly fine, and you will not lose your place on the list. Some people are interested in a certain sex/color of their puppy, and you can add that in your email, so I will note it on my waiting list. You are welcome to get back on my waiting list for a second puppy, but I will require a spay/neuter verification on your first puppy since I do not give breeding rights.
DEPOSITS: I will temporarily hold a newborn puppy, but will not accept the $200 deposit until their eyes/ears are open and I know all the puppies are doing well. The deposit is required within 72 hours after I post the puppy on my site (unless a deposit is being mailed), which is usually at the 4 week old period. I like to wait until the puppies are that age so people can see more of what the puppy will look like. If someone decides not to put down their deposit at that time, then the next person on the list will be contacted about the available puppy. The deposit goes toward the price of the puppy, and the balance is not due until the day of pick-up, or at least 2 days before the flight date. Deposits are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to a future puppy.
HOW DO I PAY THE DEPOSIT? I do accept payments by Paypal, but if you don't have a Paypal account, I can send you an invoice by email and you can use your debit or credit card without creating a Paypal account. I do waive the 3% fee on deposits, but if you are paying the remainder by Paypal, you will need to add the 3% fee that Paypal charges me. I will accept personal checks through the mail ONLY for deposits, since the check will have time to clear before you get your puppy. I also accept money orders by 2-day mail (in case we need to track it), as well as Western Union and MoneyGram (at Walmart) wire transfers through the mail. Only cash is accepted when you pick up your puppy (NO PERSONAL CHECKS ON PICK-UPS).
HOW DO I GET MY PUPPY?
PICKING UP YOUR PUPPY: I let my puppies go home at 8 weeks old. I do "pickups" from 11 a.m. and after, Monday through Saturday. I do not have pickups on Sundays, since that is our family/church day. You will just need to make an appointment ahead of time, so I can put you on my calendar. I want to be thorough when you come, so it will take about 30 minutes for me to go through everything with you (such as potty training, health records, training tips, etc.). You will be expected to wear surgical foot covers when you come, so I can guard against any germs coming in contact with my puppies.
SHIPPING: I am unable to ship puppies right now (due to the pandemic restrictions on airlines). I will be glad to meet you at the Savannah/Hilton Head Airport if you want to fly in to get your puppy. Some airlines allow puppies to fly with you.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I GET MY PUPPY?
We can assure you that your puppy is in good health and has been properly dewormed and vaccinated with his/her first shots. All of our puppies are seen by our vet for their initial wellness check, so you will receive a letter from our vet that says he/she has passed the health screen. We do provide a written one-year health guarantee for congenital problems. You will be provided with extensive information about taking care of your new family member. If your puppy is on a spay/neuter contract, you will get your limited registration papers after I receive written verification (by your vet or by a vet bill) that your pet has been spayed or neutered. Otherwise, you will get your registration papers when you get your puppy. If you have bought one puppy from me already, I will need proof of spay when selling you another puppy.
I do ask that all new owners call me the day after they get their puppy, just so I can see everything is going great. I want to make sure that the transition period goes smoothly, so I work very hard making sure that my puppies are very socialized, healthy, and totally ready to go to their new homes.
I love to stay in touch with people who have gotten puppies from me, so an occasional update and new picture is greatly appreciated! Owners are encouraged to call me at any time after they get their puppy with any questions. I am here for the life of your puppy.
PLEASE NOTE: I do not take calls, check emails, accept visits/pick-ups, or fly puppies on Sundays since I reserve that day for my church and family. If you call on Sunday, please leave a message, and I will return your call on Monday. I do not answer my phone after 8 p.m. No texting please.
